FIELD: gas-oil producing industry; applicable in quality control of well construction, use of methods of formation stimulation and other operations involved in production of oil and gas. SUBSTANCE: method includes singling-out of geological object and coring; determination of percolation index for each core sample on basis of its analysis construction of petrophysical relationships between absolute permeability and porosity and between percolation index and resistivity; and using them, absolute permeability is determined. Reservoirs are divided into groups with different physical filtering properties. Then, thickness of formation is determined, and interlayers are separated by their filtering properties and potential production rate of each interlayer is determined, and also total potential production rate of well. EFFECT: higher accuracy of evacuation of well potential production rate due to differentiation of filtering properties of nonuniform reservoirs and possible optimal selection of perforation intervals of producing formations and more accurate determination of parameters in calculation of reserves and development of oil and gas deposits. 2 dwg, 1 tbl
