FIELD: test beds investigating physical processes in system " wheel-rail ". SUBSTANCE: universal test bed has immobile base with rail track simulator supported in bearings. Simulator of rail track comes in the form of roller which mass is concentrated in rim. Elements of bearings leaning against base on opposite sides of roller are connected to drives intended to rotate these elements in opposite directions. Parameters establishing conditions of interaction between wheels of vehicle and roller, such as mass of roller, its radius and mass of bogie with weight simulator are chosen so that kinetic energy of translational motion which can be accomplished in real motion is equal to kinetic energy of rotation of roller. EFFECT: provision for testing conditions maximally approximated to real conditions. 1 cl, 7 dwg
