FIELD: infrared imaging. SUBSTANCE: binocular infrared device has IR lens, strip of photodetectors, two-way scanning mirror, strip of radiators, collimating lens and eye-piece system. Collimating lens includes two components, first component is convex-concave negative lens, second component is concave-convex lens. Eye-piece system incorporates two mirror elements, two focusing lenses, two prisms BP-90 and two eye-pieces. Entrance pupils of focusing lenses are same in diameter and relation of dimensions of exit pupil of collimating lens and entrance pupil of focusing lenses should correspond to Dex.c.l ≥ 2Den.f.l where Dex.c.l is dimension of exit pupil of collimating lens; Den.f.l is dimension of entrance pupil of focusing lenses.
