SUBSTANCE: air hammer includes reducer and box fastened to opposite end faces of cylindrical body with chambers of forward and reverse strokes, hollow piston-strike and central air-distributing tube. Reducer is connected with box by bolted joints uniformly spaced over body perimeter. Body is connected with reducer and box by means of splines. EFFECT: reduced labor and power intensity, wear of drilling tool, increased drilling rate by relieving tool, increased drilling rate by relieving body and threaded joints of air hammer from large axial force and torque. 3 dwg
