FIELD: power engineering. SUBSTANCE: power engineering; proposed minihydroelectric station is designed for transforming potential energy of water for generation of electric energy. Proposed station contains at least one siphon pipeline installed on dam and provided with suction and discharge branches. Power generating plant with drive mechanism is installed in inner space of siphons pipeline. Starting system of siphon pipeline includes regulating valve installed at outlet. Drive mechanism of power plant is placed in siphon pipeline between anticavitation device made in form of converging funnel-shaped inlet bell and regulating valve. Starting system is essentially pumping unit connected with siphon pipeline in its upper part by suction branch pipe. Anticavitation device includes additionally solid or lattice apron arranged on suction branch of siphon pipeline and installed for displacement and fixing in preset position.
