FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: field-effect transistors used in converter are noted for two to five times reduction in voltage surges during their change-over, their power leads being drains and source and control leads are gates. Control circuit of converter builds up potentials across transistor gates which are sequentially altering to drive these transistors in conduction and to cut them off at predetermined rate, that is, when first transistor is conducting, second one is cut off, and vice versa. First transistor that passes current and first section of transformer primary winding or, respectively, second transistor and second section of transformer primary provide for high-frequency conversion of dc output voltage En, applied to leads into surge voltage applied to transformer secondary, whereupon dc voltage rectified and smoothed down by means of rectifier and filter is applied to output leads. EFFECT: enhanced reliability, reduced noise , enhanced efficiency of converter. 1 cl, 3 dwg
