METHOD OF ISOLATION OF GAS SHOWINGS IN OIL WELLS OF GAS-OIL DEPOSITS Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: oil-gas producing industry, particularly, methods of isolation of gas showings in oil wells in development of deposits with thermal-pressure conditions of hydrate formation in gas-oil-bearing strata. SUBSTANCE: method includes installation of impermeable hydrate barrier in gas stratum by injection to stratum of rated volume of water. According to invention, fresh water is injected at pressure in gas-oil strata within 1.0 MPa and temperature below 20C. Temperature of fresh water injected into said strata exceeds temperature of hydrate formation in gas stratum for its spreading in this stratum without formation of hydrates. Then, well is shutdown for equalization of temperature of injected water with temperature of stratum and formation of hydrates. Heating device is lowered into wellbore to prevent formation of hydrates. Well is set into operation. EFFECT: higher efficiency of gas showing isolation. 1 dwg, 1 ex
