FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: according to the method, well drilling is performed in location areas of a water-saturated part of a deposit. Gas pumping is performed to a formation at an interval below oil-water contact. Pumping is performed in the volume sufficient for achievement or maintaining in a formation (due to pumping of gas) of the required thermobaric conditions for formation of gas hydrates and their locking of formation water from the oil part of the deposit. At the next stage, drilling of the deposit is performed and oil is extracted from an oil zone. Formation pressure and temperature is maintained in the deposit on the level necessary for stable existence of gas hydrates. After production of oil deposits, reduction of formation pressure or increase of formation temperature is performed, when necessary, for decomposition of gas hydrates and production of the earlier pumped gas.

EFFECT: reducing the hazard of formation water breakthrough into production wells; increasing oil recovery factor; reducing the deposit development time.
