FIELD: cigarette industry. SUBSTANCE: accumulator has transportation section 11, first drive 21 of conveyor 8 arranged at transportation section inlet and connected to follower system controlled by filling sensor 22 positioned at inlet station 16. Second drive 23 is arranged at outlet of transportation sector 11 and connected to follower system controlled by filling sensor 24 positioned at outlet station 17. Transportation section 11 is defined by active and passive identical supporting guiding devices 10,15 for conveyor 8. Devices 10, 15 are composed of independent disk modules 6 mounted for rotation on shafts 5,14. Return section 9 is composed of active and passive identical supporting guiding devices 7,13 of conveyor 8, said devices being composed of identical disk modules 6 mounted for rotation on shafts 4,12. Shaft 5 of active supporting guiding device 10 in transportation section 11 is attached through carriage 3 to shaft 4 of active supporting guiding device 7 in return section 9. Carriage 3 is mounted for moving on horizontal guiding pin 2 of accumulator frame 1 in plane extending perpendicular to shafts 5,4. Disk modules 6 are inclined with respect to shafts 4,5,12,14 of supporting guiding devices 7,10,13,15. Surfaces of disk modules 6 in each supporting guiding device 7,10,13,15 are in parallel with one another. Shafts 4,5,12,14 are preferably positioned in single plane. Inlet station 16 and outlet station 17 may be arranged perpendicular to conveyor path. Accumulator has pulling device 25 for conveyor 8. Horizontal guiding pins 26 are attached to frame 1 below conveyor 8 in the vicinity of working zone of supporting guiding devices 7,10,13,15. EFFECT: increased efficiency by compensating of operating speed differences of manufacturing unit and unit for receiving ready articles for packaging. 8 cl, 1 dwg
