EXTERNAL STORE SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: equipment of flying vehicles; transportation of loads by helicopter. SUBSTANCE: proposed external store system includes cargo-carrying member whose vertical rod is provided with end-piece connecting the cargo-carrying member with emergency release lock; its horizontal rod is provided with cargo lines; system is also provided with circular locking member for azimuthal orientation of cargo. Vertical rod of T-shaped cargo- carrying member is connected with end-piece by means of cardan whose one axle is elongated; circular locking member rigidly secured to fuselage is provided with cuts for locking the elongated axle of cardan on side of lower end of circular locking member for free lowering and hoisting the elongated axle of cardan in placing it in new position and in case of operation of emergency release lock. To this end, end-piece is connected with winch rope which is used for lowering cargo-carrying members for placing the elongated axle of cardan in required position in cuts found in circular locking member and for raising it in this position till end-piece is locked in emergency release lock. EFFECT: avoidance of rotation of system; possibility of performing azimuthal orientation of cargo without landing of helicopter. 4 dwg
