FIELD: transport helicopters with cargo cabins.

SUBSTANCE: proposed transport helicopter is provided with cargo cabin having ramp in rear part which is articulated on floor sill of cargo cabin and may be locked in horizontal position for carrying long-cut cargoes. Ramp has hatch along helicopter axis which is provided with upper and lower articulated covers; they open separately; upper cover is hinged inside cargo cabin and is provided with unit for locking it in upper position. Lower cover is hinged outside and is provided with step on its inner side which is used as stairway when rests on ground; it is also provided with units for locking it in horizontal position parallel to cargo cabin floor. Detachable beam may b mounted between upper and lower covers across hatch aperture; this beam is secured on longitudinal load-bearing members of ramp, thus making it possible to mount armament in hatch aperture and to use helicopter for combat operations.

EFFECT: enhanced safety of landing of helicopter carrying long-cut cargo; extended field of application of helicopter for combat operations.
