FIELD: well-jet pumping units for oil recovery from wells. SUBSTANCE: method includes lowering of jet pump, packer and stem into well. Installed in tubing under jet pump is device with step passage channel for installation into said channel of functional insert for recording curves of formation pressure recovery in under- packer space. In this case, said device is installed above producing formation at distance of 3 to 50 m from formation roof. Then, lowered on logging cable into well is said functional insert and sealing unit movably arranged on logging cable above said functioning unit. After fitting of functional insert onto landing place in said device with step passage channel, and sealing unit onto landing place in step passage channel of jet pump, preset pressure differential is built-up onto formation by supply of fluid to jet pump nozzle. Then, working fluid supply to nozzle is abruptly stopped to shutoff check valve of functional insert and to separate under - and above-packer spaces, and curves of formation pressure recovery in under-packer space are recorded on ground surface.
