FIELD: underwater acoustics, fishing industry, distraction of sea mammals from fishing implements with fish. SUBSTANCE: method consists in formation, amplification, radiation and action of information signals on sea mammals. Signals of " rival " and signals of " prey " modulated by Doppler signals imitating movements of " rival " and " prey " are used in the capacity of information signals. Information signals are emitted in the course of determined time intervals and their frequency range is limited by upper boundary frequency of frequency range of highest acoustic sensitivity of fish- object of fishing. EFFECT: provision for effective and long-term control over behavior of sea mammals in process of fishing. 4 dwg
