FIELD: oil-refining, natural gas and chemical industry equipment, particularly for air-cooling. SUBSTANCE: unit has spiral-finned rolled tubes, tube plates, headers with branch pipes and side protecting shields. Finned tubes have spiral multi-turn fins having different height which alternate in dependence of turns number. High fins are single-turned fins and bent from opposite sides of tube around chord line, which is spaced by distance of one-half of low fin outer diameter from tube axis. Bent sections of high fins are disposed in plane perpendicular to unit front plane and parallel to tube axis. High fins diameter is equal to D = d+2ns, where n is determined as (D-d0)/(2s)>n≥2. Tubes in each transverse row are arranged close to each other with back pitch of Sin = D′ = d+2Δ, where D is high fin outer diameter, d is low fin outer diameter, d0 is fin diameter at the bottom thereof, s is fin spacing, n is total number of fin turns, D′ is distance between outer surfaces of bent fins, Δ is high fin thickness, Sin is tube back pitch.
