CHAIR-SUPPORT Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: manufacture of special furniture. SUBSTANCE: chair-support has pivot hinge made in the form of spring-loaded rod and adapted for allowing pole to be inclined. Pole lower end rests upon spring-loaded rod. Spring and lower end of pole are located in casing having outer and inner conical surfaces and positioned in chair- support base. Spring-loaded stem is provided with spherical member. Such construction allows pole to be inclined in any direction without creating tensile stress in construction members and only creating compressive stress. Chair- support may be employed in floating and fixed operating mode and may be used for performing main function as seating means and additional function as means for improving user's posture. Chair-support may be used as working place for operators and traffic supervisors in different fields of industry and as school furniture. EFFECT: simplified construction, enhanced reliability in operation and wider operational capabilities. 3 cl, 8 dwg
