METHOD AND DEVICE FOR TREATING THE CASES OF NEUROSENSORY HYPOACUSIS Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2214842 C1

FIELD: medicine; medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves concurrently treating front zone and mastoid processes with electromagnetic field and acting upon hearing apparatus with tonal signals. The electromagnetic field treatment is carried out with current of 0.2-2 A in a succession of bipolar rectangular impulses of 77-78 Hz frequency with positive impulse duration being equal to 3,7+/-0,2 ms and that of negative one equal to 9,2+/-0,2 ms with zero mean current over the period. Acoustic treatment is carried out with harmonic signal in frequency bandwidth at frequencies of 125; 250; 500; 1000; 2000; 4000 and 8000 Hz, 19 s on each frequency with action intensity being different in the right and left ear corresponding to their audiograms and exceeding hearing threshold by 10-70 dB but not higher than 120 dB. The device has tonal frequency oscillator, stereo headphones, in series connected impulse oscillator, voltage-to-current converter to the second output of which an electric current regulator is connected, electric current display unit, and protection unit to output of which frontal and occipital electrodes are connected. Procedure timer output is connected to inputs of impulse oscillator and tonal frequency oscillator the second output of which has tonal frequency timer connected thereto. The tonal frequency oscillator output is connected to the first inputs of the right and left audio channels having in series connected to audiogram input unit amplifier and restrictor. The second inputs of the audio channels are connected to the audiogram input unit, the third inputs are connected to surpass unit and their outputs are connected to the right and left radiators of stereo headphones, respectively. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment. 4 cl, 2 dwg, 5 tbl
