FACILITY FOR AUTOMATIC CONTROL OVER CHANGE OF HARDNESS OF WATER IN WATER- TO-WATER HEATER Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: electrochemistry, means measuring chemical composition of substances. SUBSTANCE: facility can be utilized to control change of hardness of heating water while water-to-water heater leaks. Facility includes temperature sensitive elements 3, 4 and potentiometric cells 5, 6 located in flow-type chambers 1, 2. Output of temperature sensitive element and measurement electrodes 13, 14 of cell are correspondingly connected to three inputs of each measurement amplifier 7, 8. Outputs of measurement amplifier 7, 8 are coupled to first and third inputs of device 9 processing measurement results. First output of programming unit 10 is connected to second input of device 9 processing measurement results. Second output of programming unit 10 is linked to control input of commutator 11. Outputs of voltage stabilizing generator 12 are connected through commutator 11 to electrodes 13, 14 of first 5 and second 6 potentiometric cells. Each potentiometric cell comes in the form of hollow cylinder open on one face side which surface works as electrode 13 and second electrode 14 placed inside it along its axis. Pipe-lines supplying water to heater and carrying it off are employed as flow-type chambers 1, 2 of facility. EFFECT: possibility to detect leaks in water-to-water heaters in real time by change of physical- chemical properties of water. 1 dwg
