FIELD: coin counting machines. SUBSTANCE: device designed for eliminating jamming caused by coins whose diameter and thickness are larger than those of standard coins has centrifugal disk with concentrically arranged ferrule, separator made in the form of case with deflector mounted above centrifugal disk, movable guide coupled with electromagnetic operating mechanism and fixed guide both forming coin channel walls, coin channel width and height adjustment mechanism, and coin transfer mechanism. Electromagnetic operating mechanism of device has its armature kinematically linked with separator; mounted in insulating case secured on fixed guide at coin channel inlet is roller with pin. Fixed guide of coin channel, separator deflector, centrifugal disk, and ferrule are isolated form each other and from other components of device by clearances, gaskets, and insulating cases whereon they are mounted. Separator deflector, centrifugal disk, ferrule, roller with pin, fixed and movable guides are electrically connected to device control unit. In the course of device operation control unit functions to analyze cause of coin counting termination, if any, by polling electric circuits of centrifugal-disk-and-ferrule, centrifugal-disk-and deflector, roller-with-pin-and-fixed-guide pairs to find out why are these circuits closed by coins. Control unit optimally selects moment and duration of operations of electromagnetic operating mechanism, movable guide, and separator depending on pairs of electric circuits closed or intermittently closed thereby eliminating jamming and sorting out large-diameter, high-thickness, and bent coins which are conveyed to off-standard coin chute.
