FIELD: mining industry; mining of diamonds. SUBSTANCE: proposed separator includes starting raw material loading unit, inclined chute of convex curvilinear shape in form of parabola described by formula y = kx2, where k ranges from 0.15 to 0.3 for supply of raw material to zone of detection of desired product, unit for detection of desired product in flow of starting raw material and unit for separation of desired product which is connected with it, unit for separate accumulation of desired and tail products and unit for automatic control of separator. Units for separation of desired product for separator includes electro-mechanical drive connected with desired product cutoff. According to first version, cutoff is made in form of chute supported by one arm of lever and solenoid core is located under second arm of this lever. According to second version, cutoff is made in form of three gate blinds secured in fan-like pattern on axle of stepping motor. EFFECT: possibility of distribution of starting raw material in form of continuous mono-layer of particles; enhanced efficiency. 4 cl, 4 dwg
