FIELD: nuclear power engineering. SUBSTANCE: ionization chamber is incorporated in reactor control and protection system and is designed for checking neutron current when it is required to measure neutron flux distribution through height of reactor core. Its mechanical design enables disposition of string of such chambers in reactor channel as part of ionization chamber hanger with communication lines (cables or wires) passed from lower chambers through pipe which is part of chamber casing. Electrode system of chamber in the form of set of paired coaxial electrodes is attached to inner surface of one or more pipes organizing chamber casing together with annular flanges. EFFECT: reduced size of chamber casing, enhanced reliability of reactor control and protection system. 3 cl, 1 dwg
