FIELD: domestic appliances. SUBSTANCE: microwave oven has magnetron that generates electromagnetic wave energy; waveguide that functions to control electromagnetic wave energy and to convey it to hollow housing that bounds cooking chamber; and antenna for radiating magnetron-generated electromagnetic wave energy to waveguide. The latter has first window for uniform dissipation of electromagnetic wave energy in cooking chamber, second window for uniform dissipation of electromagnetic wave in cooking chamber, and shorting circuit for organizing antenna shorting surface. First window is made on longitudinal waveguide section contacting hollow housing. Second window is separated from first one and is disposed at certain preset angle relative to first window. Windows are designed to convert plane polarization of electromagnetic wave into its circular polarization with desired characteristics. EFFECT: reduced length and simplified design of microwave oven waveguide. 21 cl, 21 dwg
