FIELD: waveguide systems.
SUBSTANCE: device for interconnecting waveguide and applicator has electromagnetic wave generator; waveguide for conveying electromagnetic wave produced by electromagnetic wave generator; and applicator that functions to receive electromagnetic wave through waveguide and to convey it to lamp bulb; waveguide and applicator wall is completely or partially common for both and has at least two slits so that when electromagnetic wave reflected from applicator is passed to waveguide, it does not return to electromagnetic wave generator. Load variation does not produce any impact on electromagnetic wave generator. Device dispenses with expensive means such as waveguide matching device or circulator which enhances service life of electromagnetic wave generator and operating stability of system. In addition system outage period for replacing electromagnetic wave generator can be reduced. Apart from that system does not need adjustment for its matching in case of load state variation. All kinds of load with any characteristics can be used without modifying the system.
