FIELD: power engineering; manufacture of cooling systems for power plants, mainly space and nuclear power plants. SUBSTANCE: proposed cooling system includes circulating loop with lithium heat-transfer agent for operation in external vacuum medium; pipe lines are made from niobium or niobium alloy; some pipe lines are arranged inside heat source. Pipe lines located outside heat source and units are surrounded by protective shield made in form of elastic tape from getter active metal relative to oxygen of external vacuum medium; its outer surface is coated with layer of material possessing low transmissive capacity of oxygen of external vacuum medium. Said tape is located tightly on external surface of some pipe lines located outside heat source and units. Titanium or its alloy, or niobium or its alloy, or tantalum or its alloy may be used as getter active metal relative to oxygen of external vacuum medium; chromium-nickel spinel may be used as material possessing low transmissive capacity of oxygen of external vacuum source.
