FIELD: construction of wells for liquid and gaseous minerals; applicable in control of well drilling process. SUBSTANCE: method includes lowering of drill string, rotation of rock-cutting tool, producing of axial load on rock-cutting tool and maintaining axial load constant with fixed from displacement upper end of drill string by feed, with help of movable joint, of a part of bottomhole drill string assembly relative to drill string. Additional axial load is produced by additional feed of parts of bottomhole drill string assembly movable in axial direction and located above movable joint. EFFECT: provided automatic maintenance of drilling process optimal parameters, increased drilling rate with reduced troubles. 1 dwg
