FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed hydraulic drive is designed for use in underwater devices. Hydraulic drive is made of stages - two rigidly intercoupled two-space hydraulic motors whose spaces are connected by hydraulic lines in pairs in crosslike manner to form two volumes connected with controllable hydraulic distributor coupled with pressure and drain lines, piston space volume in one hydraulic motor exceeding rod space volume. One of hydraulic motors is made in form of combination hydraulic cylinder with housing with bottom, double-side rod with different diameter parts arranged in housing and floating piston enclosing the rod and forming piston space with necks for engagement with rod parts of different diameters. Volume of rod space within the limits of piston space with necks in less than volume of rod space housing from bottom side. Piston is hermetically conjugated with housing on length less than realized stroke of hydraulic cylinder equal to half of length of hydraulic cylinder within the limits of length and stroke of piston. Thanks to proposed invention, there is no necessity of precise machining of all inner cylindrical surfaces, except for inner surface of combination hydraulic cylinder.
