FIELD: central and local heating systems. SUBSTANCE: proposed radiator section has upper and lower horizontal passages for circulating heat-transfer agent with tapped holes for fitting radiator plugs or nipples which are communicated through vertical passage whose cross section has form of closed profile located symmetrically relative to plane geometrically matched with parting plane of mold; outer and inner walls of said closed profile are rounded-off and finned; contour of cross section of vertical passage has shape of figure formed by two equilateral trapeziums with opposite smaller bases and common larger base which is located in plane geometrically matched with parting plane of mold; each smaller base of trapezium has trapezoidal recess; projection of rectilinear sections of frontal walls of vertical passage in plan coincides with shape of projection of diametric section of walls of horizontal passage; said plane of symmetry is perpendicular to its longitudinal axis. Ratio of height of each equilateral trapeziums to half-sum of bases ranges from 0.4 to 0.6 at ratio of larger and smaller bases ranging from 1.1 to 1.3; ratio of height of trapezium corresponding to trapezoidal recess to half-sum of bases of this trapezium ranges from 0.7 to 1.0 at ratio of larger and smaller bases ranging from 1.6 to 1.8; minimum width of flow section of vertical passage ranges from 0.2 to 0.4 of maximum width in direction perpendicular to parting plane of mold. EFFECT: intensification of heat transfer; reduced usage of metals; reduced overall dimensions. 4 cl, 6 dwg
