FIELD: electrical power engineering. SUBSTANCE: process determining distance to point of single- phase contact to ground in distribution networks of radial structure consists in that on basis of registration of voltage in faulty phase at start of line frequency in registered voltage of transient condition of contact to ground and corresponding to frequency of own oscillations during discharge of phase capacitance of faulty phase is extracted, its belonging to design range of frequencies for faulty line is checked and distance to point of contact to ground is determined by dependence of distance to point of contact to ground on frequency of own oscillations for given line and given network. EFFECT: simplified process of determination of distance to point of single-phase contact to ground in distribution networks of radial structure without disconnection of faulty line from power supply source. 7 dwg
