FIELD: radioelectronics. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method providing orientation of different-shape articles, for instance, radioelectronic components, in transportation and it can be used in small-size automatic sorting machines and at surface mounting. According to proposed method, in-turn delivery of different-shape articles in transportation is provided with subsequent locking in corresponding coordinates of common carrier. Preliminarily, like articles are placed in continuous sequence, each formed from articles in bulk. Articles forming continuous sequences are arranged in circle in horizontal plane, thus forming circular sequence of different articles in one or several layers, and receiving channels are rotated coaxially with transfer of corresponding articles from circular sequence into corresponding receiving channels. Rotation is either continuous or discrete, and each receiving channel corresponds to one or several line sequences of articles on common carrier onto which sequences of articles are transferred with subsequent locking in corresponding coordinates of common carrier.
