AUTOMATIC MACHINE FOR CHECKING AND SORTING CYLINDRICAL PARTS Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: measuring and sorting processes and equipment in machine engineering, possibly checking diameter, curvature of cylindrical parts and sorting them. SUBSTANCE: automatic machine includes receiving hoppers for rejected and suitable parts; loading hopper with inclined conveyer; gripping attachment in the form of prism; pickup for forming control signals; manipulating apparatus and transporting duct having guiding member with lever and inclined towards receiving hoppers. Automatic machine is provided with housing in the form of framework in which are arranged: box-shaped vertical trough having valve in its upper end, worm reduction gear, electric motor, chain and belt transmissions, crank secured to worm reduction gear and jointly connected with gripping attachment, air pipeline having double-action cock in the middle, pusher secured to gripping attachment at side of air pipeline. At outer side of framework there are front carrier drive with opening in the form of truncated cone, roller and rod joined through spring-loaded lever with pickup for forming control signals. Automatic machine is also provided with back center having spring and pneumatic cylinder. Worm reduction gear is joined with front carrier center through chain transmission and with electric motor - through belt transmission. Vertical box-shaped trough is inclined in its upper portion towards transporting duct and it has lateral opening for receiving parts; said opening is communicated with outlet opening of conveyer. Transporting duct has opening arranged over hopper for receiving rejected parts. Manipulating apparatus is in the form of electromagnet jointly connected with lever of guiding member having spring. Pickup for forming control signals is placed in center of upper portion of framework. EFFECT: improved design, enhanced accuracy of measuring deviations of diameter and curvature, lowered time period for checking cylindrical parts. 2 dwg
