FIELD: metallurgy; foundry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, foundry, in particular, to development of compositions of cast iron to be used for casting of bodies with different width of walls. Cast iron contains carbon, silicon, manganese, copper, chromium, sulfur, phosphorus, a barium, calcium, iron and additionally contains stannous at the following components ratio (mass %): carbon 3.0-3.5; silicon 1.7- 2.2; manganese 0.5-0.8; copper 0.5-0.8; chromium 0,15-0,3; sulfur 0.05-0.12; phosphorus ≤ 0.2; barium 0.003-0.015; calcium 0.007-0.025; stannous 0.05- 0.1; iron - the rest. EFFECT: increased stability of pearlite and hardness at the long duration aging in casting moulds of large- sized castings having different thickness of their walls. 2 tbl
