FIELD: electrical engineering, seal contact reed relays. SUBSTANCE: contact coat is deposited by successive application of layers of decarburized silver 0.5-5.0 mcm thick and contacting layer made of metal of platinum group 0.1-2.0 mcm thick. Electrochemical precipitation of intermediate and working layers is conducted with the use of pulsating current of rectangular form with period duration Tgen equal 1.0-100.0 ms. Pulse duty factor ( relation of pulse duration Tp to period duration Tgen ) γ is chosen between 0.1 and 1.0. Maximal cathode density of current for silver is 1.0-5.0 A/sq dm, for metal of platinum group is 5.0- 25.0 A/sq dm. EFFECT: decreased manufacturing cost of seal contact reed relays, raised functional reliability, diminished specific and contact resistance of magnetocontrolled contacts. 2 cl, 7 dwg, 2 tbl
