SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method for preparing aqueous-dispersion fireproofing swelling dyes used for reducing inflammability and fire hazard of materials and constructions. Method is carried out by preliminary preparing stocks of antipyrene swelling composition in water-insoluble oligomeric form by carrying out the chemical interaction of all parent components pentaerythritol, ortho-phosphoric acid and melamine taken in the corresponding ratios in reactor with the following dispersing the prepared fireproofing composition in common with pigments and filling agents and by additions of polymeric binding agent of polyvinyl acetate dispersion. Prepared dye corresponds to all painting and aesthetic requirements for usual protective-decorative dyes that melts in contact with flame, forms water-resistant coating with high mechanical strength and swells to form stable swollen heat- insulating layer of foam coke.
