FIELD: technology and materials utilized to eliminate gas crossflows in wells when gas is kept in underground gas storages of gas producing industry. SUBSTANCE: technical result of invention lies in increased stability time, raised resistance and adhesion of sealing compound to surfaces of pores, rock cracks and cement stone. Method to eliminate interstring and string crossflows of gas in wells includes geophysical study, perforation of string and pressure-pumping of sealing compound into zone of defect. Hydrophobic invert emulsion containing plastic structuralizing agent-hydrocarbon condensate, emulsifier-oil and water sensitive surface active substance, service water and bentonitic clay is pumped as sealing compound. Emulsion includes above-mentioned components in following proportion, per cent by mass: hydrocarbon condensate 65.0; oil and water sensitive surface active substance 5.0; service water 30.0, bentonite clay 10.0-20.0 over 100%. Another variant of method to eliminate interstring and string crossflows of gas includes geophysical study, perforation of string and pressure-pumping of sealing compound into zone of defect and utilizes hydrophobic invert emulsion containing plastic heat-resistant structurizing agent-waste oil products, emulsifier-oil and water sensitive surface active substance and service water with following proportion of components, per cent by mass: waste oil products 65.0; oil and water sensitive surface active substance 5.0; service water 30.0.
