FIELD: textile industry, specifically, technique determining physical-mechanical properties of textile materials. SUBSTANCE: actual curvature radius of fiber, actual angle of embrace of cylinder by fiber, tension of both branches of fiber are measured in compliance with method determining rigidity of textile fiber in bending with fiber bending around cylinder of known radius. Rigidity B is found by formula where ρi - is curvature radius of fiber; Gi - is constant initial force; G2 - is growing stretching force; R is radius of needle; F0, f0 - are constant parameters of friction; α - is actual angle of embrace of cylinder by fiber; i - is number of experiments. EFFECT: increased measurement accuracy of parameters of fiber bending to compute rigidity of fiber in bending. 1 dwg
