METHOD FOR PREDICTING PURULENT INFLAMMATION OF SOFT TISSUES AT TREATING WITH EXTERNAL FIXATION APPARATUS OF PEROSSEOUS OSTEOSYNTHESIS Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, traumatology. SUBSTANCE: due to laser fluometry one should register cutaneous capillary circulation at rest (CR) at the site of supposed inflammation and symmetrical healthy body part. Ischemic sampling should be carried out on both limbs. One should register maximum postischemic capillary circulation (MPIC), time before registration of maximum postischemic circulation, time for reactive hyperemia duration. Postischemic circulation gain is calculated as CR : MPIC ratio. At the ratio of patient's CR values for sick and symmetrical healthy body part being 4.0, decreased postischemic circulation gain being 3 times lower, increased period before maximum postischemic circulation to be 1 min and increased duration of reactive hyperemia being 5 min one should diagnose availability of purulent tissue inflammation. The method is simple, noninvasive and enables to conduct earlier diagnostics for the development of purulent-inflammatory complications in case of perosseous osteosynthesis.
