METHOD FOR RADICAL RETROPUBIC PROSTATECTOMY Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: one should carry out a bilateral pelvic lymphadenectomy, isolate patient's bladder and prostate. Then one should dissect pelvic fascia and puboprostatic ligaments, isolate and cross dorsal venous complex, remove prostate together with seminal vesicles, form urethral tube out of bladder's lateral wall, suture urethral tube and urethra by developing an angle between urethral proximal part and a bladder. Bladder's wall defect should be sutured. Bladder's anterior wall is fixed to the stumps of puboprostatic ligaments or periosteum of pubic bone. The method enables to decrease incontinence of urine.
