Removal of watermelon alcoholic distillate id carried out at strength value of the latter less 40 vol. % of alcohol that is hold in the presence of oxygen only for 90 days, not less, and then infused with heat-treated oak staves in the presence of oxygen for 180 days, not less. Watermelon alcoholic distillate is brought about to consumers' strength by its blending with tail fraction. Fermentation process is carried out at temperature 18-22 C for 5 days, not less, and treatment of oak staves by heat is carried out at temperature 160-170 C and oak staves are added as measured 60-80 cm3 per 1 dm3 of alcohol.
