SUBSTANCE: cylindrical-rotor magnetic suspension used as electromagnetic device ensuring non-contact suspension of ferromagnetic part from useful load has two fixed circular sources of magnetic field with axially oriented induction vector which are spaced apart on axis of revolution. Rotor mounts ferromagnetic centering components each incorporating 2n members, where n is greater than or equal to 3. External sectors are paired and each pair is joined with internal sectors opposite relative to axis of revolution by means of ferromagnetic jumpers.
