FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular, equipment for sowing of rice seeds on water flooded field. SUBSTANCE: rice planter has self-propelled power unit, rice seeding apparatus, and soil leveling device made in the form of two pontoons with flat bottom. Pontoon second in advancement direction has smaller width and greater height as compared to those of first pontoon. Pontoons are arranged perpendicular to advancement direction and have length equal to width of rice planter. Rice seeding apparatus is mounted in rear part of first pontoon. Seed guides are oriented toward furrow cutting mechanism having V-shaped shanks equipped with shielding cheeks. Rice planter is provided with shank cleaning mechanism including scrapers formed as triangular plates and shank lowering and raising mechanism. EFFECT: improved quality of presowing soil preparation, increased efficiency by providing sowing of rice seeds across the entire planter width, and simplified construction. 4 dwg
