LAUNCHER Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: ground launching units for launch vehicles positioned vertically during launch. SUBSTANCE: proposed launcher includes supporting ring on which four bases are mounted; said bases have bearing trusses articulated on them. Trusses have stops, counter- weights and sectors which are provided with thrust members. Articulated on bases are booms with caps received by mating members of launch vehicle. Launcher is also provided with hydraulic drives engageable with bearing trusses and other auxiliary units. Launcher is also provided with struts mounted on bases and fitted with L-shaped unequal-arm levers articulated in them. Said levers are provided with hydraulic cylinders and adjustable stops, as well as with hydraulic accumulators and hydraulic locks connected with hydraulic cavities of hydraulic cylinders by means of pipe lines. Rods of hydraulic cylinders are articulated with larger arms of L-shaped levers engageable with said adjustable stops. Ends of lesser arms of levers are engageable with stops of bearing trusses. Availability of struts with adjustable L-shaped levers ensures safe and synchronous delivery of bearing trusses to launch vehicle excluding residual error at final coupling of bearing trusses.
