SUBSTANCE: invention describes method for preparing water- soluble bi- and polymetallic complexes of polygalacturonic acid of the general formula (I) wherein Met₁ is Na, K; Met₂ is Cu^II, Fe^II, Mn^II, Ni^II, Zn^II, Fe^III, Ag; n = 3-9; m = 10-25. Method involves treatment of pectin aqueous solution of the formula (II) wherein R is hydrogen atom; g = 95-100 with NaOH or KOH aqueous solution up to pH 7-7.5 at 50-60 C for 1.0-1.5 h, addition of solution of one, two or some metal salts in the concentration 0.002-0.01 mole/l, precipitation with ethanol or acetone, filtration, drying and isolation of the end product of the formula (I). Indicated water-soluble complexes stimulate hemopoiesis process and show more broad possibilities in using for pharmaceutical aims as compared with insoluble complexes.
