FIELD: extraction of liquid hydrocarbons. SUBSTANCE: process includes sinking of double string of pipes into well, installation of plunger-type pump at lower section of internal string and pumping of working agent into interstring clearance to set plunger-type pump in motion. Working agent is pumped into interstring clearance under pressure exceeding hydrostatic pressure of column of liquid in internal string by value found from analytical expression. Then working agent is drained with specified periodicity, initial value of pressure is restored. Gear for realization of process is made up of plunger pair mounted in pipe of internal string. It has location seat and is placed with clearance into pipe of external string. Sleeve and plunger come in the form of barrels with holes in bottom normally shut off by ball valves. Clearance forming ring space communicating with interstring clearance through holes in internal string exists between seat of plunger and seat of sleeve. EFFECT: reduced consumption of working agent, increased efficiency of operation and prolonged service life of plunger-type pump, simplification and reduced cost of realization of process. 3 cl, 3 dwg
