FIELD: foundry; manufacture of ceramic molds against casting patterns. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes placing seal inside mold prior to calcination and placing this mold in calcination furnace; then vacuum pump is started for forming rarefaction inside furnace. Hot air from heating element is admitted to furnace. Due to pressure differential, air passes to interior of mold through its pores oxidizing molding compound on external surface, in pores and in inner cavity of mold. Combustion products are removed by means of vacuum pump. Best temperature for oxidizing gas is 500- 550 C and rarefaction is 0.005-0.01 Mpa. EFFECT: avoidance of casting defects. 4 cl, 1 dwg
