FIELD: production of knitted fabric. SUBSTANCE: single warp knitted fabric has courses defined by two alternatively arranged systems of threads. Thread underlaps of said systems are interwoven so as to form something like "lock" preventing web from curling. Method involves providing additional shifts performed by means of thread system the closest to needle backs. EFFECT: improved quality of fabric by preventing fabric side edges from curling owing to providing interweaving of thread underlaps of first and second systems. 3 cl, 3 dwg
