FIELD: spiral antennas. SUBSTANCE: multiple-segment spiral antenna with coupled segments has radiating section incorporating plurality of spirally wound radiators arranged between one end of radiating section and its other end. Each of radiators has set of two or more segments. First radiator segment passes over spiral from first end of radiating section toward its second end. Second radiator segment passes over spiral from second end of radiating section toward its first end, part of first radiator segment being disposed in immediate proximity of part of second radiator segment so that first and second radiator segments are electromagnetically intercoupled. EFFECT: reduced length of proposed antenna compared with standard half-wave design. 27 cl, 21 dwg
