BOOM SPRINKLER UNIT Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2222184 C2

FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: boom sprinkler unit has tractor, girder with attachment unit, sprinkler frame, hydraulic cylinders secured with their bases on tractor frame and having stems interconnected with frame, hydraulic control systems, communicating suction system, pump driven by tractor power shaft, communication pressure system, and pump starter. Girder attachment unit is made wedge-shaped with base formed as regular polygon. Wedge base ribs form panel frame defined by water supply pipes. Wedge side face ribs are formed from columns and joined with central molded part having mounting opening. Molded part is connected through hanger to water supply girdle. Sprinkler frame is made in the form of hollow composite pyramid with bases formed as regular polygons. Lower truncated part of pyramid is defined by upper base defined by rigidity ribs and mounting plates, columns oriented on truncated pyramid ribs, and lower base defined by brackets secured by means of bridging boards on tractor base. Sprinkler frame detachment surface is extending in plane of conjunction of upper pyramid base and lower truncated pyramid base and is positioned at level 100-300 mm above tractor cabin. Pyramid apex has support and spherical pivot joint. Support is rotating around vertical axis of symmetry of sprinkler frame. Spherical pivot joint is inserted into support receptacle and connected through pin with mounting opening of central molded part. Girder attachment unit is kinematically connected and hydraulically communicated with sprinkler frame by means of stabilizing mechanism and via hoses of irrigation water supply pressure line. Stabilizing mechanism has paired spring shock-absorbers oriented in opposite directions and connected at their lower ends to tractor frame brackets and pivotally connected at their upper ends to front or rear water supply pipes of girder attachment unit panels. Each hose is connected at its one end through U-shaped bend, water flow splitter and return valve with pump scroll. Other end of each hose is detachably connected to one flange of water supply pipe of panel frame. Water supply pipes oriented in parallel with sprinkler unit advancement direction are connected with water supply pipes oriented in water supply direction in girder boom through flanges and sealing rings. Stem of hydraulic cylinder of control system may be moved to transport position. Water supply pipe of girder is provided with additional balancing weight. EFFECT: simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 32 cl, 1 tbl
