FIELD: ferrous metallurgy; valves of blast furnace air heaters. SUBSTANCE: drive of hot-blast valve includes frame, AC electric motor, two worm reduction gears, brake and gears thrown into engagement with gear racks performing reciprocating motion for forced opening and closing of valve; drive is also provided with device for connecting each reduction gear with gear; it is made in form of hinge having two forks with bushes located coaxially at their ends; fitted in these bushes are ends of floating cross-piece. EFFECT: reduced overall dimensions of drive and usage of metal. 2 dwg
