FIELD: water stream energy conversion into electrical energy. SUBSTANCE: hydroelectric power plant has water intake duct installed in water flow near river bank and provided with top inclined, side, and bottom walls with its sectional area reducing along water stream. Duct has inlet trash racks and is joined with rectangular-section water conduit assembled of jointing, revolving, outlet, and unified working members provided with gate-closed holes in side wall to receive running blades of axial-flow vertical encapsulated hydropower units provided with devices for governing and stabilizing speed of encapsulated units; these removable devices are placed in cylindrical casings of working chambers provided with recess and mounted on movable platforms displaced by means of electric motors and mechanisms installed in pressurized compartments on supporting floors attached to working members of water conduits. Device for governing and stabilizing speed of encapsulated hydropower units is connected via cables to electric motors of movable-platform displacing mechanisms mounted in pressurized compartments on supporting floors attached on the outside to side wall of water conduit working members. Width of hole in side wall of working member equals diameter of working-chamber cylindrical case and its height equals inner height of working member side wall. Hole in side wall of working member receives top and bottom shaped strips with gate closing hole in side wall of water-conduit working member secured to them from inside of water conduit; these strips are secured to shaped posts symmetrically attached to movable platform; mentioned posts congruently contact vertical wall of working-chamber cylindrical casing, width of working-chamber recess being equal to distance between these posts, and with walls of pressurized compartments accommodating mechanisms and electric motors for displacing movable platform and positioned perpendicular to working-member side wall. Wall-to-wall distance in pressurized compartments equals diameter of working-chamber cylindrical casing. EFFECT: enhanced power capacity of plant. 1 cl, 8 dwg
