FIELD: electrical communications and computer engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed cryptographic method designed for protecting data transferred over telecommunication networks includes generation of private key; division of data block into two subblocks; execution of R≥2 encryption rounds; exchange of subblocks after each of these rounds except for R one; each round includes generation of binary vector for first subblock depending on private key and execution of direct second subblock exchange control, this operation being dependent of first subblock; superposition of converted binary vector onto converted second block by executing addition operation followed by reverse operation of controllable exchange of converted second subblock depending on first subblock. All these operations enable improvement of statistical characteristics of one round. EFFECT: reduced number of rounds and enhanced encryption speed. 1 cl, 4 dwg
