FIELD: escalators for lifting and lowering of loads and people. SUBSTANCE: escalator contains moving belt forming steps on inclined sections. Steps are platform, each consisting of several metal box frameworks, first of which is driving member connected with traction chains and last is driven member furnished with driven rollers installed in corresponding guides. Frameworks are hinge-connected to each other through axles. Platform occupy horizontal position on inclined part of stairs. Driven rolls are installed in additional shaped guide preventing their falling out in case of reverse movement of platform. EFFECT: decreased overall dimensions. 12 dwg
